After the release of Axie Origin Alpha (Battles V3) last April 7th, both Sky Mavis and the Axie Infinity community have been fully focused on the new game’s revamp.
However, as stated in their initial plans, the Axie Infinity team has decided to go on with the Axie Infinity season 21, which will still take place in Battles V2. Jihoz himself made the announcement through the official Axie Infinity Discord server.
Release date
As mentioned in his Discord announcement, Jihoz revealed that the Season 21 launch is planned to be on Tuesday, April 25th.
This season would signify the end of Axie Infinity Battles V2, and it’s expected to last from 1 month and a half to two months, as the last seasons did.
Balancing changes
In spite of past seasons, this time Season 21 will not bring any balancing change to the Battles V2. The main reason to keep the game as it was in Season 20, is to not divert the focus of both Axie Infinity team and the community from Axie Origin, which is currently the future of Axie infinity and will require plenty of attention to improve the game as much as possible during the alpha time.
After Season 21, SLP rewards and leaderboards are expected to move for Battles V3.
